Wire Wrapped Seaglass Workshop

Wire Wrapped Seaglass Workshop

Regular price £40.00 Sale

Join experienced jeweller/goldsmith Lindsay Forbes, jeweller and founder of Laconic jewellery, as she guides you through this introduction course working with wire and seaglass.

This workshop is suitable for beginners with no previous jewellery making experience. The workshop allows participants to learn basic techniques and skills to create a spiral cage charm to encapsulate a piece(s) of seaglass. By the end of the workshops you'll understand how to use this to create earrings, charms/pendants and a bracelet.
During this workshop you'll learn techniques such as basic plier skills, 'p' loops, 'eye' loops and wire wrapping to create a 'cage' to encase your seaglass.
You'll learn using copper and silver plated wires to practise before incorporating this into a link/charm for your choice of bracelet/pendant/earrings. Feel free to bring your own pieces of sea glass from summer trips down the beach if you wish to use these!

- Access to tools and equipment needed for the project.
- Materials to make at least x1 bracelet and x1 pendant or between 3-6 pendants/charms/pairs of earrings.
- Limited workshop numbers to ensure a more personalised learning experience.
- Expert tuition from Lindsay, a qualified jewellery designer/Goldsmith with over 15 years industry experience.
- Refreshments/biscuits
