This hand picked beautiful seaglass pendant (glass size H 18mm x W 15mm x D 7mm approx) comes from the waste glass that was routinely dumped into the sea along the North East coast of England and more specifically at Seaham. Seaham was the location of the largest glass bottle works in Britain. The Londonderry Bottleworks was founded in 1853 and closed in 1921 and turned out up to 20,000 hand blown bottles a day.
The turbulent North Sea continues to wash ashore these beautiful original pieces of seaglass in multitudes of colours.
Set in a fine silver bezel with a sterling silver ring band, Size N 1/2.
Over time, sterling silver will oxidise and darken. Wipe with a silver polishing cloth. Do not use liquid jewellery cleaner as this may damage the glass.
