This workshop is perfect for anyone who has completed the beginners Introduction to Free Motion Embroidery workshop and is ready to extend their knowledge of free motion embroidery and textiles.
You will be guided through the stages and processes Michelle uses to create an embroidered piece. Templates will be provided and you will be shown how to use fusible web to transfer an image from a drawing. Michelle will go more into depth on choosing the correct fabrics. You will also be taken through a layering process and given the option to stretch your creativity.
Once all of the steps are completed, you will have a lovely beautiful piece of embroidered applique, featuring a bird, flower or a house. This then can be framed, made into a bag or cushion, or even used as a quilt panel etc. Most importantly, you will have a finished piece to be proud of.
All sewing machines and materials are provided. If you are wanting to take the opportunity to set up your own sewing machine at home. You can either bring your machine along with you or make sure you know the make and model so we can guide you.
What you will need to bring:
· Sewing machine (in good working order) with a darning foot or we can provide you with one
· Your basic sewing kit (scissors, thread, pins or clips, hand sewing needle, vanishing pen etc)
· Fresh Regular and Embroidery sewing machine needle
· 8” Embroidery hoop or embroidery gloves (optional)
· Lace/Ribbon/Trims/Buttons/Beads (optional to embellish your piece)
All of our workshops are held in the workshop studio upstairs at From Loft to Loved, 11 The Square, Sedgefield TS21 2BN.
Cancellation Policy
Payment for workshops must be made in full at the time of booking. If you need to cancel your booking for any reason please contact us as soon as possible, cancellation fees apply:

Over 21 days before the workshop date - full refund given or the opportunity to book another date
- Between 7 and 21 days before the workshop date – no refund given, however you will have the opportunity to book another date

Less than 7 days before the workshop date - no refund given and no opportunity to book another date
Any refund due will be paid to the original payee only and by the original payment method.
If you do not turn up for your workshop, you will not be eligible for a refund nor will you be eligible to move your booking to an alternative date.
In the unlikely event that a workshop has to be cancelled by From Loft to Loved, you will be offered the choice of a full refund or the opportunity to book onto an alternative workshop. You will be given as much notice as possible if a workshop has to be cancelled.
