During these workshops we’ll explore the medium of watercolours to create illustrations based on some of Katie's favourite subjects, trees, flowers and fruit. These workshops will be guided from start to finish by Katie and is suitable for all abilities from complete beginners. All materials needed are provided and tea, coffee and cake are included. 

Tuesday 17th Feb - Leaves, Trees & Branches. During this workshop we'll explore the medium of watercolours to create illustrations of tree branches and trees within a landscape. As well as watercolour paints we'll experiment with other mediums that can be used to enhance out watercolour paintings including ink tense blocks and inks.

Tuesday 17th March - During this workshop we'll explore creating floral illustrations whilst getting to know the medium of watercolours and how beautifully it works with masking fluid. Masking fluid acts as a resist whilst helps to produce beautiful silhouettes of white on the page.

Tuesday 21st April - During this workshop we'll explore creating 2 different styles of illustrations of berries on branches. Whilst getting to know the medium of watercolours we'll also explore ways to successfully combine inks and oil pastels with our watercolour paintings.

Tuesday 19th May - During this workshop we'll explore ways to work with watercolour paints and inks to create beautiful vintage ditsy floral patterns.

All of our workshops are held in the workshop studio upstairs at From Loft to Loved, 11 The Square, Sedgefield TS21 2BN.

Cancellation Policy

Payment for workshops must be made in full at the time of booking. If you need to cancel your booking for any reason please contact us as soon as possible, cancellation fees apply:

  • Over 21 days before the workshop date - full refund given or the opportunity to book another date
  • Between 7 and 21 days before the workshop date – no refund given, however you will have the opportunity to book another date
  • Less than 7 days before the workshop date - no refund given and no opportunity to book another date

Any refund due will be paid to the original payee only and by the original payment method.

If you do not turn up for your workshop, you will not be eligible for a refund nor will you be eligible to move your booking to an alternative date.

In the unlikely event that a workshop has to be cancelled by From Loft to Loved, you will be offered the choice of a full refund or the opportunity to book onto an alternative workshop. You will be given as much notice as possible if a workshop has to be cancelled.
